Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great day. Many of you probably wondering how I teach my students in the clinical area. We all know that learning science and its systems are not easy. Understanding the anatomy of a human body is complicated. Let me introduce myself.
As I shared with you all in my previous articles, I am internationally seasoned Registered Nurse by profession and licensed in multiple states of the USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia. I attended school in several countries. I completed my degree in Masters of Science in Nursing specializing in Health Education in the United States of America. I have thirty years and still counting vast experience in Nursing career. Currently, I am working as Nursing Director in a regional trauma hospital. I was a clinical educator for BSN, LPN and PCT students in various colleges. Prior to becoming a nurse manager and leader-I worked in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Newborn and Maternal Department, Pediatric and Adult Hemodialysis and Plasmapheresis.
In every country that I worked and practiced nursing, I found something in common – the same basic core and concept of nursing. The country’s laws and institution’s policies were different, but the main goal is always “safety”. I ventured and learnt nursing techniques, styles and systematic approach in rendering care to my patients. I developed many nursing skills and valuable assessments.
In doing all of these venturing, I made sure that I am physically and mentally fit. Relaxation exercises and taking herbal supplements helped me to keep my immune system strong https://amzn.to/3vcUjag
In every class I teach, I asked everyone to introduce themselves during the first day of school. Developing my methodology of teaching were often based on my students assessment. Some are well experienced and some are completely the opposite. Others maybe a slow learner and vice versa. I find that teaching based on assessment method are effective and suits every students’ needs. I consider my students and staff as “lucky” because I can share my international nursing experiences with them. I thank God so much for blessing me this gift of sharing knowledge.
I hope that many of you, nursing students and novice nurses will stay tuned and sign-up in this site. Read my blogs so that you can benefit with my nursing skills that I will share. Feel free to send me messages, questions, and feedback. If you have something in mind that you want me to write as an article, please suggest and I will do my very best to make the blog for you.
Please follow my blogs! I created various educational and interesting articles that maybe useful to students, newly graduated nurses, nursing aides, phlebotomist, and even non-healthcare provider who are interested to learn some simple but effective nursing skill maneuvers.
Remember, I am a nurse and not a physician. I am not allowed to give anyone medical advice. I can only share and show you effective nursing skills that I learnt and garnered around the world during my younger years in my nursing career.
